Black, white,republican, democrat. It does'nt matter. None of them go to sleep at night wondering if they made america a better place to live today, tomorrow or the next. They want the power, the fame and a name in the history books. Then a nice cushy retirement, a book deal, a lecture tour and a library with their name on it.Yep, your vote counts! For what? what saddens me is that Americans are too naive, absolutely oblivious to how their country is run and they indulge in the dream, that their nation is a true representative of freedom, which might be a great seller but by now, other countries i.e Sweden, Norway do it better than the americans. They also do a lot of "wishful thinking", of course Obama's generally vague "yes, we can" sounds great and he will be a good president but I think they are clearly expecting too much.

I'm sorry dqs1, but you are not a true American if you know something is wrong with our country and know a step in the right direction but still chooses a, possibly, lesser of two evils because a true American politician, like Ron Paul isn't likely to get in.
Since Ron Paul dropped out, I voted for Bob Barr, he was basicly for less government and spending and was endorsed by Ron Paul.
