we have a musical production a year at my school and last year was this. it was so beautiful. i'd never heard the songs or seen the movie before so it was great. haha the year before that we did beauty and the beast (missed it though sadly).

They actually did sing the songs while filming. (Most actors can sing quite well) however the producers had their voices dubbed after the scenes were shot with more powerful voices. That is why the lip synching is so accurate.

I saw west side story at South Plantation High School in Plantation, FL, it was so amazing, this was my favorite song out of the whole play! and the scene when tony gets killed i cried my eyes out ( yah i'm a guy, but I tried oh so hard to fight it but no one could resist there tears) the whole theatre was crying it was so sad.

omg this isnt tonight - i no they keep singing the word tonight but i was in the cempaka bow office production and they did west side story and i was in the orchestra. this is balcony scene, not tonight. tonight has the jets, sharks, anita, tony and maria singing. no offense to you and i dont mean to be bossy, ok?i just wanted to tell you.

tanshingji,i saw the cempaka production too.. you might want to try Tonight(ensemble) for that similar Tonight that they sang in Cempaka WSS.

thanks, sofiaasyikin. by the way, was it good? i emjoyed it a lot though i couldnt see much from the side of the stage - u saw where the orchestra was. and i guess that different ppl hv different names 4 this song, so im not saying im right - maybe this version is the olader version? - and no offense to u again, bravenewworld711.

im right at the back, behind the trombones, cos im one of the cellists - yeah i play the cello. but at least the view of the stage that i have was quite good! i could look at the stage cos after playing all that over and over 4 2 months, u get to memorize it......anyway, thanks 4 ur compliments!!
