IKEA - Banned Commercial - Swedish Midsummer
Uploaded by: Aidswe
Video Description:
You might have heard of the Swedish midsummer tradition, the day when everybody in Sweden gets drunk and dance around a Maypole. Anyway, last year IKEA Germany produced commercials where they made fun of the swedes and their Midsummer tradition. The commercials got banned by the head office at IKEA Sweden (IKEA is a Swedish company).

It's three frickin minutes long for crying out loud!
"swede-suits" on :D hahaha, overall a great exaggerated commercial! Hillarious!
[ JOKE !!! ]
Maybe this is what Mona Sahlin was talking about ? ROFL
At least now we know why Sweden won no golds at the recent Olympics ...
People from scandinavia can absolutly see the humor in the commercial, because it's our culture to drink and make fun of our self. but the commercial does not represent sweeden or IKEA in a good way for people who don't know about our culture. we do have other importent values other than drinking :)
-the "raw" fish we eat is pickled herring, usually with new potatoes and sour cream. Not pea soup and asparagus lol
-Most people don't wear traditional costumes
-The actors have accents
and what's with the schoolyard fight
I'm convinced they did the right thing to ban this video.
When we choose to not be serious we take it a step further. That's the reason we (some of us) like Family Guy! :)
But in the end, all people are the same!
