i think all this worrying of calories,sugars,fatty foods are gonna give me a nervous break down. You wont see me at the gym, you'll see me at rehab!

the basic messege of the book is that we should not concern ourselves with calories, fat, carbs, etc... but instead just focus on eating REAL food!!!
like the stuff we had been thriving on for thousands of years before out food supply became tainted with all this proccessed nonsense!
Try reading Breaking the Vicious Cycle if you are having intestinal problems.
High glycemic foods are not "in a sense predigested"...they are full of preservatives and chemicals that DO NOT digest easily or correctly. They feed yeast
"Easier to digest"? No!
You could suffer very serious health problems and will have GERD, diarreah, colitis,Chron's.
Eating beans and whole grains will not easily digest and you will probably be in pain and ill.....
(I'm healthy & eat lots of raw veggies, btw but still am very grateful for this info!)
Dunno if you've got all the confectionary and stuff like that at the supermarket, well I never go there generally, maybe an exception if it's someones birthday, a party or that sort of thing. That's it, I don't consider it "regular" food. Bit like having a cigar for a non-smoker.
You get a better appreciation when you start out with the basics too, some pretty luxurious natural foodstuffs are a lot cheaper in their unadulterated state anyway!
