I think 'palindrome' is an ancient linguistic joke because any native latin speaker would know the correct word to use!
You see, 'palin' means 'again' and could instead be replaced with 'mor' which means 'repeat'. Then 'drome' from 'dramein', which means 'to run', would properly be shortened to 'drom', not drome. So, it should be 'mordrom' instead of palindrom. It's not only linguistically correct but, 'mordrom' actually is a palindrom, whereas 'palindrome' is but a faux.

There is nothing random in these lyrics. This video features is series of palindromes. See the above comment. BTW such is called, "nonsense verse" among those who speak English.
