I just thank Jesus ... ( 3 months ago by studiotodd)
I just thank Jesus that we have you and your hilarious puns here so that we don't make the mistake of thinking for ourselves again.
studiotodd...I'm ... ( 3 months ago by LinZDubs24)
studiotodd...I'm going to pray for your salvation. Sounds to me like you need. Have a very blessed day. :)
OOOh, could you ... ( 3 months ago by studiotodd)
OOOh, could you pray me up a pony too? A pretty pink one?
Can't wait until someone prays away humorless, sanctimonious and presumptuous religious zombies.
absolutely I will ... ( 3 months ago by LinZDubs24)
absolutely I will pray for your pony! :) BTW...good (no GREAT) come back!! Do you feel bigger now that you made fun of me. I hope so because your life must really be terrible if you have call me name and side with a woman who thinks it's OK to put down others to make people like you think she's funny. Have a great day :)
You are absolutely ... ( 3 months ago by studiotodd)
You are absolutely right. It was horrible of me to say bad things about you. I guess I was just following the Christ-like example you set when you made your remarks about Kathy Griffin.
Pot, meet Kettle.
You are absolutely ... ( 3 months ago by LinZDubs24)
You are absolutely right. It was wrong of me. I never claimed to be Christ-like, I'm a Christian who was upset that Kathy Griffin thinks it's OK to offend people. I'm not perfect and I get upset when people think that they can make me feel like crap and that we are idiots for having faith in something. I guess this just proves that I'm not perfect. Christians like me know that we will never match the grace and humility that Christ display.
HOWEVER, Don't say ... ( 3 months ago by LinZDubs24)
HOWEVER, Don't say that because I get upset and get pissed off at Kathy Griffin, I am not Christ-like. The Jesus I know turned tables in the synagoues by the people that cursed God and sold money in the house of his father. And the God I know can turn rivers to blood, and bring hell, fire, and damnation on people and destroyed cities. Don't say that because I get mad I'm not Christ-like. So yeah, when people critize my faith I tend to get a little upset. Read a Bible and then you can talk to me.
Lady I'm as ... ( 3 months ago by studiotodd)
Lady I'm as familiar with the bible as you are, if not more so.
That's how I can so quickly spot a judgmental religious snob who hypocritically repeats the christian buzzwords and meaningless jargon she hears from some pulpit or another while viewing and treating those who have come to a different conclusion about religion with contempt & scorn--which is in direct conflict with the bible you're so taken with.
So, yes, I've read your bible. Does that mean that I am now worthy to talk to you?
Because if so, I'd ... ( 3 months ago by studiotodd)
Because if so, I'd love to know when and where you've ever seen a river turned to blood (and for what purpose said river was transformed), or hellfire and/or damnation (or any other spooky religious buzzword you choose to insert) destroy a city.
And once you explain that, please explain how those things are evidence of a benevolent loving god? Why would you want to follow a god who did cruel & evil acts like that?
See it's not so much your faith I criticize, it's your inability to back it up.
Exodus (ch.) 7-9- ... ( 3 months ago by LinZDubs24)
Exodus (ch.) 7-9- God turns the river to blood as one of the ten plagues. And brought down nine more plagues (INCLUDING FIRE FROM THE SKY) on Egypt when Pharoah refused to free the Jews
Joshua 5:13- God destorys the wall of Jericho (an unclean city) and destroys the city.
Genesis 19:24- city of Sodom and Gommorrah (cities of homosexuality and other acts against God) are destroyed.
Look it up. You wanna pretend you know more about Christianity.
Next thing ... ( 3 months ago by LinZDubs24)
Next thing Studiotodd, I never said that you couldn't talk to me. I have spend the better part of four days talking to you. My thing is, you (not Kathy Griffin) are upset over ME being upset at what Kathy Griffin (again, not you) said on national TV, and the fact that she (again not you) thinks it OK to use gallows humor (humor at others expense). Then you (not Kathy Griffin) get upset with me. You can stand up for Kathy, but I can't stand up for God. And I'm the hypocrit?!
So, I guess what I ... ( 3 months ago by LinZDubs24)
So, I guess what I am trying to say is that people like Kathy Griffin and YOU can say anything you want about me, my faith, and others like me on National TV. But I say one paragraph about how she's not funny and you ready to fly off the handle. Why should she be able to make fun Christian. You know damn well that if she said "Suck it Budda," or "Suck it Allah" or whatever, she would have been burned at the stake. So why can she make fun of Christianity? How is that fair?
OK, so what you're ... ( 3 months ago by studiotodd)
OK, so what you're REALLY saying is that you read some stories in a book that said that stuff happened. You don't "know" that it happened, anymore than you "know" any entity that could cause those things to happen (here's a hint--they didn't happen).
So when you said that thing about "the god you know" doing all that horrible stuff, you were pretty much just repeating what you've heard someplace.
Dear, I know this ... ( 3 months ago by studiotodd)
Dear, I know this is hard for you to comprehend but I was never upset by you not liking Kathy Griffin. I just thought it was funny that you made a big deal about how she's not funny, then inserted one of the most unfunny puns I've ever heard.
At that point, you decided to haul out your religious guns to try and shame me or something. It was then that I thought it appropriate to point out the total hypocrisy of your claiming to be religious yet you ridicule & insult another person.
Not too christlike, ... ( 3 months ago by studiotodd)
Not too christlike, if you ask me.
Next, you said "Read a bible then you can talk to me." To me that means that I do not have permission to talk to you unless I have read the bible. Seems pretty clear to me...do you have a different interpretation?
So, to answer your question--YES, you are the hypocrite.
One last little ... ( 3 months ago by studiotodd)
One last little thing--"gallows humor" is a type of humor that arises from stressful, traumatic or life-threatening situations such as wartime events, hostilities, mass murder; often in circumstances where death is perceived as impending and unavoidable. It is similar to black comedy but differs in that it is made by the person affected.
Kathy Griffin uses satire, irony, sarcasm, mockery and verbal wit, which is quite different. To use your own words--LOOK IT UP.
*sigh* You almost ... ( 3 months ago by studiotodd)
*sigh* You almost make it too easy...
I'm sure Kathy would have said "Suck it Buddha" or "Suck it Allah" if celebrities made a habit of giving credit to Buddha or Allah for having won some stupid award. But they don't. They always give credit to Jesus--as though (if he existed), he could give two craps about whether someone won a People's Choice award or not.
See, that's why ... ( 3 months ago by studiotodd)
See, that's why it's FUNNY. It's called a JOKE. I'm sure you must have at least heard of jokes--they are those things that christians don't seem to be able to "get." Probably because they are always too busy being judgmental and sanctimonious.
And finally, the ... ( 3 months ago by studiotodd)
And finally, the reason why she can say anything she wants about you, your faith and people like you is because we live in AMERICA--where (for the time being, at least) we allow free expression of ideas.
As far as it being "fair"--why should christianity be exempt from being made fun of? At least she's not actively trying to impose her religious beliefs on others or working to deny rights to others based on some nutty book of myths. Can't say the same for christians.
You christian ... ( 3 months ago by studiotodd)
You christian religious types are such crybabies. You cry foul & make such a stink over someone cracking a joke at your expense & act as though you are so downtrodden.
In the meantime, you run the government, have constitutional protections, are free to insert your religious mottos all over our money and pledge of allegiance, have tax-exempt status for your institutions...I could go on & on.
One would think that you could lighten up a little. Learn to laugh at yourself. It's very liberating.

Wow, it's really funny that so many of you who think she's not funny take the time to watch and comment on her video.

These comments are great to read.
it's so fun to read pointless youtube arguments because they literally go on and on.
I agree with studiotodd.
Kathy Griffin is mazing and Jesus can truly go suck it. :)
Of course they are ... ( 1 month ago by studiotodd)
Of course they are saddened by religious jokes because the jokes force them to look at religion with a critical eye and (if they are honest) they then start to realize that it's illogical bullshit.
