I made this to Chris Daughtrys song Home. I know it dosnt fit perfect but I think it expresses the feelings of the troops in Iraq and Afhghanistan. As a former marine who served in Vietnam I salute these young men and women and I pray for them. If you want to give some support check out his page

I want to enlist in the Marines when I get out of high school. No one thinks it's a good idea either. They call me stupid, etc. ( I ignore them haha) You just have to realize that they aren't going to understand why you want to do it.
I know if I don't, I'm going to regret it for the rest of my life.

I plan on enlisting in the Marines when I graduate high school. Everyone thinks it's a bad idea. You just have to realize that they aren't going to understand why you want to do it. I know if I don't, I'll regret it for a very, very long time haha

There are many resources online that can help you talk to your mom about your decision. Also you can contact your local recruiter and ask that they come to talk to you and your mom together. Hopefully those suggestions work for you. Good luck!!
