Wow, Mr Newman, you were so VERY special. Though I wasn't much of a movie person, I'm now so very glad one of 'your' movies is MAJOR in my story. Connected to the thing where God saved my life, but later caused me to be pronounced dead being brought to heaven but sent back for my work. So glad someone like YOU will be focused on as a role model. You're probably in heaven smiling now:). I'm almost jealous.

Sad to see someone who has had such a large impact on people lives not just as an entertainer but a teacher on life and higher standereds to pass away.I feel that he taught us all he knows on living such high standereds and we now have to learn the rest ourselves

I think it is difficult to single out his best movie. He had so many wonderful performances. Cool Hand Luke, The Hustler, The Color of Money and many, many more.
Funny you don't hear him cry about his privacy or the invasion of it by others. He was a good man with a big heart. Rest in peace Mr. Newman.

I am disgusted by some very nasty comments. Honesty, integrity, loyalty, generosity...All the people who knew PN personally praise his great qualities. But some people seem to hate him : I suppose they didn't agree with his political opinions. But a man must be judged by the way he leads his life, and not by his opinions, his religion or the color of his skin. (The silliest thing I read was that PN was a racist !)
With people so full of hatred, no wonder the world is in such a bad shape.
