I agree...regardless of the fact that she turned 60 earlier this year...she's still hot and I def. do her, lol. Musically though, she's definitely in the same group with the likes of Cher, Chrissie Hynde (The Pretenders), Jeannie C Riley, Janis Joplin,etc...as having one of the most recognizable female singing voices of all time.

Um, I'd have to say, in defense, that it's like pants, you need all notes together like you need all pant legs to be one pair of pants. make sense? no? it's my only save for now. anyways, after posting what i did, i heard like 50 other live versions of EO17 and she never goes high, so it has nothing to do with her age like I earlier susppected. So I guess everyone was right, she is just as good as she used to be, whether that's good or not now makes me wonder...

My father and I were talking about Stevie and her tendency to play it safe by not risking high notes. He thinks she's just lazy and she CAN hit the notes. See: "Dreams" re-recording with Deep Dish. He actually turned me on to her when I was little. I've since become a much bigger fan than he is. She's just as good as ever; it's just that she does things differently now from how she did previously.
