No, there was no surrender, goverment evacuated and as in whole "Battle of France" were involved also Netherlandes, Belgium and BEF i wouldn`t call it anything longer, better or anything. Actually compareing both invasions is pointles, especially if France wasn`t bacstabbed by any Soviet Union or whatever.

seeing as the weapons were more powerful, longer firing, flamethrowers, artillery strikes, bombs and condiions even more terrible than in WW1
that is why WW2 is more known...however, doesnt mean those that fought in WW1 (and/or WW2) will or shall ever go without respect
