Or how rehab queen Lindsay Lohan's mother, Dina get's a Mother of the Year award from the Mingling Moms Organization. Soon Dina will be exploiting her children on her own reality show called "Living Lohan". Or the daughter of Mr. Achy Breaky Heart himself, BIlly Ray Cyrus letting Miley Cyrus pose nude for Vanity Fair magazine at 15. (I bet the Jonas Brothers loved that... or maybe not.... probably if it were Billy? Why don't we ever see the Jonas Brother's naked? or Danny Bonaduce?... actually, we did see Danny exposed... not pretty) Or what about Hulk Hogan rubbing lotion on his daughter Brooke Hogan's crack? WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!

Sam,
I so agree that there should be some qualification requirements for being a parent. It would be impossible, but then again, if someone "accidentally" gets pregnant... esp 2,3, or 4 times!... they are not very responsible for themselves, how can they care for a child properly? What I find really sad is that these parents can get the state to pay for the child's needs, but even then they don't require them to take child care classes!

OKAY EVERYBODY! I didn't mean it for real! I don't think the government should test people for qualification to be parents. I also wrote that great people have come from adverse situations. I didn't mean it - it was an idea of "wouldn't it be great if...." meaning the most important role one can have is parenting and it's not taken as seriously as it should be. We all know that. And this vlog was about examples of parents exploiting their children for themselves and they are lousy parents.

Oh my God - I'm getting flack!! Okay, that picture was TEENAGE PARENTS WITH A PACK OF KIDS! It wasn't a comment on country. Look at the parents - they are TEENS! The picture was found on line under TEEN PARENTS! I didn't say poor meant bad. Money has nothing to do with parenting. Maturity and priority do.

IMO_ society would be entering dangerous territory setting parenting requirements. Who is to say what the standard would be? There are so many different styles of parenting- who is to be the judge?
What would you do if people failed? Take their kids away?

Miley's photos were inappropriate for her age. When you become a parent you become a little more sensitive about these things. The photos weren't bad really but they were in appropriate. I got the same feeling from looking at them that I do seeing little girls made up for beauty pagents. It's just an uneasy feeling. Don't kids grow up too fast as it is. "Let them be little" as the song says.

As THE trashwhisperer of Griffith Park and Little Armenia, I don't get upset over the poop itself, which as you note is biodegradable, but over the idiots who scoop the poop into unbiodegradable plastic, and then just leave it there. Either don't scoop it or take it down the trail, stupidheads. But the note-leaver just compounds it all! So I happily remove her note, and the poop in the plastic with my trusty trashpicker. 19.95 at Osh people. Do it while you walk the dog. It'll change your life.

Same here. I wasn't disgusted by the actual photo, but by the thought that people were taking it that way...and the fact that her parents were RIGHT THERE whwen those pictures were taken freaked me out. Actually, the photo that weirded me out the most was the one with Miley and her father...
And I think so many people should never have children, because they're not full human beings themselves. Right on.
