In Chaka's case, the words weren't even important. That was some searing improvisation, and Gladys and Etta gave her props for it. I think this performance brought together all four elements: Etta's earthiness, Chaka's fire, Gladys's airy polish and B.B's fluid guitar. Historic and singular.

That was a well put comment. Everybody brought something to the table in this song. I remember when I was young watching this with my mother and grandmother and family. I couldn't understand one word she was saying. I had to listen to Billie Holiday to hear the words.

This performance was not meant for people on here to be saying who they thought was the best. This was a hell of a performance with talent across the board with Etta,Gladys,Chaka and BB King. They all were incredible.

I love Etta, see I love it back then man, i think i was born too late. Anybody could make good music as long as you were good. today it's about fashion, looks and all that dumb shit that comes with music, most of them can't even sing now days.
