yeah, but the music is catchy as hell. Do u really have to psychoanalise the lyrics and singer to enjoy the music? I could understand if it was straight up poetry + there's nothing but the words and their meaning to react to; then one would feel compelled to wonder about authenticity. Her voice and the melody and composition of the song are genuinely good.

What does age have to do with what you have been through?.... I have kids i grew up with who before 18, had done everything from taken lives to having a child and there own apartment with the mother, to witnessing a parent attempt suicide with a knife. This was all before they were 18. I fail to see how her being 25 would mean she hasn't been through anything, when i know teenagers who have been through more than most adults.
