certainly he was inspired by bill hicks and covers a lot of the same issues, but his material is original. Its not like he denies it, on one of his DVDs bill hicks gets a mention in the credits.
thing i like about both bill and doug are that although they sound angry and bitter, they're angry and bitter because they care more about their fellow man and well being than the people who they're making jokes about. the targets of the jokes are always people who make life that little bit more dull

Yo, never heard of this guy but i already like his act!I wish there were more comics like this guy, George Carlin, and Bill Hicks(Personal Favorite),comics that questioned everything and reveal truth through comedy. Great stuff man

Look when I get drunk I want to go out, which means I probably will drive. I get to the bar already hammered. Then if I drink a little, way too much (yea I know, that didnt make much sense) I might get into a fight, pulled over, thrown in jail for either. I smoke weed, I might play old nintendo ROMs all night, read a book, study for a certification exam I have been putting off. Plus, any depression I might have is cured. Comedy like this is so much fuckin better than those bitch ass comics who get on stage and go "GUYS WE ARE SLAVES TO WOMEN! YOU LADIES ARE IN CHARGE! YOU WIN EVERY ARGUMENT" just to get some cheap ass laughs and be all mainstream-friendly. Stanhope, Louis CK, Rogan, Carlin, Giraldo, etc. these guys are real comedians.
